Zero-touch provisioning means a desk phone configures itself from the network the first time it boots. You type a MAC address and a model, choose which line it belongs to, and that is the whole task.
What the call does
There are three usual ways a handset finds its configuration — a manufacturer redirection service, discovery on the local network, or a DHCP option. We pick whichever will work and show it as one line that says "automatic", with an override for the rare case that needs one.
SIP registration usernames and passwords are not shown in the ordinary interface at all. There is nothing to copy, so there is nothing to paste into the wrong phone.
If something changes that a handset needs to know, the re-provision is queued automatically and the device shows as pending until it has picked it up. The failure mode where a phone works until its next reboot is one we specifically designed out.
Provisioning templates can be exported and imported per tenant, and a device shows the difference between the template it has applied and the current version of that template.
