Stage in a call · FOUNDATION

The PBX is ours to run, not yours to maintain.

A traditional PBX is a box in a closet that someone has to patch, power and understand. Hosted PBX means that box is our problem. What you get instead is a set of things you can actually name: lines, numbers, groups and a call flow.

What the call does

  1. inCall arrives
  2. step 1Your call flow
  3. answeredWhoever should answer
Hosted PBX: Call arrives → Your call flow → Whoever should answer.

What replaces the box

Everything that used to be configured on the hardware becomes an object you can see and change from a browser. Nothing about the underlying telephony is exposed as a choice you have to make.

  • A line is a person or a role. It has a name, an email and an extension.
  • A number is inventory. You assign it to a line, a group or a call flow, and reassign it whenever you like.
  • A site is an office. It holds the address, the time zone, the business hours and the calling permissions everything else inherits.
  • A call flow is what happens when someone dials a number. It is one diagram, not six modules.

No SIP stack question, ever

Open-source PBX software usually asks which SIP driver an extension should use before the extension can exist. That is an implementation detail dressed up as a product decision. We made the choice once, internally, and per-handset quirks are handled by a device profile you never see.

Changes take effect where you made them

If changing a setting requires a phone to re-provision, we queue that automatically and show the device as pending re-provision until it is done. You should not have to remember that two screens are coupled.

Two modes

Simple by default, detailed when you ask

Most people never open the second column. It is one click away rather than spread across the first.

Simple mode

  • Add a line with a name, an email and a site — three required fields
  • An extension number is suggested from the next free one in your range, and stays editable
  • Assign a number now from your inventory, or later, or never

Advanced mode

  • Per-device provisioning templates, exportable and importable
  • Codec and transport profiles per handset model
  • Outbound caller ID and dial-plan overrides below site level

Where hosted pbx stops

  • We do not sell or support an on-premises PBX. If you want a box in a closet, we are the wrong supplier.
  • We do not sell or support hybrid setups where part of the routing stays on hardware you own. The system is whole, or it is not ours.
